Wealthy travelers of the Belle Époque used to order a whole set of travel trunks from eponymous and reputable luggage vendors. Some of those established brands of yore are now known for selling ladies handbags and high fashion. Travel trunks in the early 1900s were usually loaded upon arrival in a special Pullman carriage for delivery to the Grand Hotel of choice. Picnic trunks were loaded on the back of the ubiquitous Bentley or DelaHaye limo. A butler served high tea at roadside.
Enjoy our handmade replica of an early Bentley picnic trunk. Two clever pullout drawers with lids serve as extendable tabletops for your very own High Tea.
