Admiralty Spotlight .
An early British Navy light from the period between WWI and WWII. What we loved most was all the details, like the two handles to point and turn the light beam. On board of a 1920’s battle cruiser or navy destroyer it would have been mounted on the bridge. Signal lamps were managed by trained signal men, skilled in transmitting morse code. This was obviously way before the age of the internet… In the period before and during the second World War all factories were modified to the manufacture of war material. Brass and Copper was collected from all available sources and turned into usable war contraptions of the highest possible quality. Enjoy this replica of an old signal lamp, by now dating back close to a century, with all it’s ‘form follows function’ and somewhat idiosyncratic details…
